This photo shows four men posting for a picture. The drilling tool shown is electric compressed air powered by the cable to it.The two men holding the drill are standing on wooden cross peice to get them close to the mine ceiling. Notice the different size drills. The machine was called a 'widow maker' as the dust eventually killed the miner.
