Single, fine, rich raspberry red color crystal of Bixbite on matrix. From Violet Claims, Wah Wah Mountains, Juab County, Beaver, Utah,U.S.A. Specimen is smooth and luserous and individual crystal is 6 mm long by 4.5 mm high by 4.5 mm deep set againts a white matrix. Overall size is 3/4" long by 5/8" wide by 1/2" high. What contrast and its very affortable for such a neat gemmy specimen rare gem material !  It has come to my attention that some are now making man-made gems of this Beryllium Aluminum silicate as Man-made Hydro -Thermal Bixbite.
