FLUORITE - CaF2 - Calcium Fluorite. From the Latin word Fluore , means "to flow". Good attractive grouping of minerals quartz, zinnwaldite mica, specimen with large 1-1/4" cubic, lavender blue fluorite crystal. Quartz is coated with second generation white fluorite and the Fluorite itself appears to have some negative crystal indentions on its surface. Nice specimen, has tiny modification on corner . some purple zoneing near surface. Much better in person. These specimens are becoming classics. From Yao Gan Xian, Wolfram Mine, Yizhang, Hunan Province, China. Size is (8.2cm) 3-1/4"w x (5.7cm)2-1/4'd x (5cm)2"h. Item CM0050. Weight 0.44 lbs. No longer being found in this type of grouping.
