HEMITITE, Fe2O3 - Iron Oxide. From the Greek word Haima meaning "blood". Beautiful hexagon flat metalic plates with good lustra complete all around. This is a older specimen that look very much what came out of Swizerland Alps.This "Iron rose" Brazilian classic came from Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil probly around the 1960 or 70's.This specimen is (1-7/16")wide by (1") deep by (5/8") thick.No longer available.
